Vulnerability Assessment and Threat Analysis, or VATA, was formed in 2009 by a former Force Reconnaissance Marine and former Louisiana Law Enforcement Officer who had a vision to offer superior firearms and tactical training utilizing the most current tactics, techniques, and procedures to U.S. Military and law enforcement agencies as well as law abiding citizens. After each of the owners left their original careers, they worked for the U.S. Department of State conducting high threat protection and for the Department of Defense on a classified program. VATA has worked with organizations such as 7th Special Forces Group, ATF’s ERT, law enforcement agencies and National Guard units throughout the country, as well as other government agencies, paramilitary, and special activities staff.
In addition to teaching for and running VATA, the owners are still at the pointy end of the spear. One currently works for a Department of Defense program and the other is an advisor/mentor for the U.A.E. Special Operations. VATA staff and instructors are all either on deployment rotations or are full-time SWAT law enforcement officers and continually maintain their own training to ensure that we stay ahead of the power curve. Our staff are hand picked, because they each know what it is like to be involved in a gun fight, whether with the military or with law enforcement, and we all live and breathe what we do, to the point where the majority of us spend our free time as competitive shooters.
