Class Size: 8-20
This course will guide you to be able to recognize and intervene with critical arterial bleeding. The curriculum is focused around critical incidents and follows the TCCC guidelines of hemorrhage control.
The following topics will be covered during the course:
• Equipment selection
• Med bag and equipment setup
• Identifying critical bleeding versus non-critical bleeding
• Basic arterial anatomy
• Direct pressure techniques
• Use of tourniquets
• Use of standard gauze and hemostatic gauze
• Wound dressing
• We will also briefly discuss airway management
