VATA Group was formed in 2009 by two guys sitting off the coast of Somalia in 30-foot seas saying, “There has got to be a better way.”  A former Force Reconnaissance Marine and former Law Enforcement Special Investigations Officer, who after they got out had both been cutting their teeth conducting special projects overseas for the US government, had their mission. 

VATA Group—or Vulnerability Assessment and Threat Analysis Group—started out conducting threat and vulnerability assessments.  Today, VATA Group has expanded to offer a wide array of services, including open-to-the-public firearms and home defense training. 

Utilizing subject matter experts with top tier military special operations and law enforcement backgrounds, we have built a team with hundreds of years of experience behind them, allowing us to offer training in all disciplines of self-defense and war fighting.  We felt that it was important that all of our instructors have real world experience and have WON gunfights.  This allows them to better translate and relay information and techniques to our customers.
